(Nova Makedonija, 24.06.2009) – Senka Anastasova, a PhD candidate at the Faculty of Philosophy in Skopje, has been getting ready for participation in a world scientific conference at Oxford University on 14-16 July on the topic: “New View Today.” Young, self-confident and eloquent, Anastasova will speak about digital angles of viewing or the influence of modern technologies on human visual culture together with a dozen of other university lecturers, scholars and delegates examining visual art and the creative industry.

Tenor Blagoj Nacoski: The Japanese Recognise Us as Biblical Country

(Vecer, 25.03.2008) – After the excellent performances in Japan and upcoming performances in Canada, Blagoj Nacoski has confirmed himself as the “most renowned Macedonian opera singer and best Macedonian tenor of all times,” as Wikipedia puts it. Nacoski is the only Macedonian whose name is has been written on the wall of the Concert Hall in Niigata, Japan. His signature is accompanies with the Macedonian flag and this hall is where Nacoski was recently greeted with ovations and called back on stage for six times.

(MIA, 13.07.2005) - Living opera legend, Spanish tenor Jose Carreras opened Tuesday this year's 45th "Ohrid Summer" festival in the Antique Theatre. At the press conference, Carreras said that it was a huge honor and privilege to visit and perform in Macedonia, and expressed his gratitude for the reception and the exceptional organization. "I would like to point out the high level of professionalism and artistic value of the Macedonian Philharmonic, which members are not only exceptional musicians, but also very pleasant", Carreras stated.
