|“Ohrid Summer” – Concert of Chamber Ensemble of Bolsoi Theatre|
(Vest, 26.07.2004) - Monday evening’s concert of chamber orchestra of Bolsoi Theatre from Moscow in church “St. Sofia” at 21,00h will be a true music refreshment for classic music lovers. The ensemble includes top class musicians from the Bolsoi Theatre Orchestra, who play on two violins, viola, cello, contrabass and piano. They tour with soprano Galina Bojko, who is remembered by the impressive performance in “Traviata” and “Ivan Susanin” of the Bolsoi Theatre Opera House.
Monday’s program includes Mozart’s “Small Night Serenade”, aria from opera “Queen Fei”, suites from opera “Dioclecian” by Heinrich Persel, and aria of Rodelina from the opera with the same name by Hendel. They will also perform several pieces by Russian composer Dimitry Bortnianski, who is one of the most talented creators of solo-song, instrumental and church music, and part of opera “Ruslan and Ludmila” by Mikhail Glinka.
