“Ohrid Summer” – Soprano Inva Mula with Pianist Trebicka in “St. Sofia”

(Vest, 04.08.2004) - In the framework of “Ohrid Summer”, soprano Inva Mula, in piano accompaniment of Maniola Trebicka, both from Albania, will perform in church “St. Sofia” on Wednesday evening at 21,00h. The international breakthrough of Inva Mula follows after the winning of the first award at competition “Placido Domingo” in 1993. Since, she has performed along with this renowned tenor at all world opera centers, such as Vienna, Munich, Paris, Chicago, New York, Tokyo, Verona. Her impressive vocal interpretation was remembered from film “The Fifth Element”, where Mula loaned the voice for the role of the opera diva.
Pianist Maniola Trebicka has been rewarded at several international festivals and piano competitions, along with the first award at the Music Conservatorium in Paris. She plays at concerts of chamber structures, duo, trio, quartet and quintet, as well as piano accompaniment of several solo-singers.
The concert program includes arias from operas “Capulet and Montague” by Belini, “Manon” by Masne, aria of Rossini and aria of Juliet from opera “Romeo and Juliet” by Gunot. Mula will also sing compositions “Daughter of Kadis” by Delib, “Handkerchief of Love” by Pulenk, “After One Dream” by Fore, five songs by Belini, one Chopin’s ballade, and two Albanian songs: “My Beautiful More” and “If you Know”.
