Ohrid Summer – Leading German Cellist Maria Kliegel to Hold Concert

(Vest, 14.07.2005) - Renowned German cellist Maria Kliegel, accompanied by Nina Teachman will hold a concert in church “St. Sofia” on Thursday evening at 21,00h.
Kligel and Teachman will play sonatas for cello and piano by Fore and Chopin, as well as “Five Compositions in Folk Style” by Schumann and “Carmen Fantasy” by Buckston Orr.
Maria Kliegel has received the first awards at international competition “Aldo Pariso” in Brazil in 1978 and competition “Rostropovich” in Paris in 1981, which opened the doors to her glittering career.
Pianist Nina Teachman was invited to perform in Schloss Bellevue in 2004. She is a laureate of prestigious competition “Busoni”, winner of award “Mendelssohn” in Berlin, and winner of Italian competition “Casa Grande”.
