Ohrid Summer - Concert of St. George Chamber Orchestra
(Utrinski Vesnik, 20.07.2005) - A concert of St. George Chamber Orchestra in Belgrade will be held at St. Sofia Church in Ohrid at 9.00 p.m. within the Ohrid Summer Festival. Under the baton of Petar Josifovski, the orchestra will perform pieces by Mendelssohn, Bartok, Handel, and one composition by Macedonian composer Stojan Stojkov. The soloist is Nemanja Radulovic, violin.
The string ensemble was established in 1992 under the artistic supervision of Petar Ivanovic, the orchestra’s conductor, only to win the first award at the International Competition of Music Youth in Belgrade in 1996. The orchestra has had over 700 concerts throughout the world. |
