(Vecer, 24.07.2006) - A concert of Anthony Pateras, piano and Natasha Anderson, electronic instruments and vocal is on the programme of the Skopje Summer at the Daut Pasha Amam today.
Skopje audience will have the opportunity to see a really interesting concert of two Australians who are different but still similar in their expression. Renowned Anthony Pateras and Natasha Anderson will perform “Continuums&Chasms” and “Spore” respectively. Pateras is a Macedonian-born Australian pianist who links composition with improvisation and electronics in different ways in different contexts. As a composer, his music is performed throughout the world by famous performers such as Dutch Radio Chamber Orchestra, Melbourne Symphonic Orchestra, Flux Quartet and percussion player Vanessa Tomlinson. His string quartet Chromatophore will have its US debut with the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra in autumn.
Anderson is an Australian musician who uses unusual combination of recorders, vocal and electronic instruments. Her work is dynamic and comprehensive continuation of the instrumental language where electronic, instrumental and body sounds mingle. She has performed with classical, multimedia works and improvisations in Australia, New Zealand and Japan and Europe.
