Mala Stanica – Exhibition of Zoran Poposki
(www.culture.in.mk, 06.03.2007) - Solo exhibition of visual artist Zoran Poposki will be opened in national gallery “Mala Stanica” on Tuesday evening at 20,00h. The display will present ten digital graphics in large format of cycle “Silence”.
Popovski’s artworks research the hidden mutual relations between the lingual and the visual, or to be more concrete, how paintings and narrations interweave in the telling of personal stories that construct the identity, at the same time undermining one with the other, producing unexpected (even ironic) results.
As stated by painting professor at the New York School of Visual Arts Peter Christoff in the exhibition text, “Poposki is a serious and dedicated young artist with huge potential. He possesses a curious talent that points to the serious studying of art and artistic creation”.
Zoran Poposki (1974) attends post-graduate studies of art in modern media at the DUK University in Austria, and has realized study stays in USA. He has exhibited in USA, Germany, France and Macedonia. This is Poposki’s eighth solo show. |
