|Macedonian Philharmonic Concert in Open Marks World Day of Music, Starts Skopje Summer|
(Utrinski Vesnik, 21.06.2007) – A concert of the Macedonian Philharmonic on the World Day of Music, 21st June is marking opening of the Skopje Summer. The concert at the floor outside the Army Centre at 9.00 p.m. will hear popular pieces by Vivaldi, Mozart, Haydn, Piazzola, Ravel under the baton of Borjan Canev. The soloists are Ana Kondratenko and Vladimir Kostov, violin, Paskal Krapovski, violoncello, Zdravko Angelov, clarinet, and Dragan Mladenovski, trumpet.
A retrospective show of works by Macedonian painter, graphic artist and stage designer Venjamin Hadzi-Naumov (1950-2005) is opening in Mala Stanica at 8.00 p.m. Sixty works by the distinguished artist made in the past 30 years that marked different periods of his work will be first presented at one place.
The opening of the Skopje Summer is continuing with a project, Music without Borders that is starting at 11.00 p.m. when a number of music groups and musicians are performing in the pedestrian zone, Makedonija Street and the Vardar Quay.
