|Skopje Museum – Exhibitions and Concert on Earthquake Anniversary|
(Vest, 26.07.2007) - Project “City of Possible Worlds”, which represented Macedonia at this year’s Venice Biennale, where it received a special recognition together with Japan and Iceland, will be presented in the Skopje Museum on Thursday evening at 20,00h.
The project refers to Skopje, where authors give a solution to the future of the city’s center in an entirely simple way – with a chalk on a board.
Architects and curators Minas Bakalcev and Mitko Hadzi Pulja, along with authors Mihajlo Zinoski, Sasa Tasic, Dimitar Papastereski, Jovan Ivanovski and Vladimir Petrovski, along with consultant Vlatko Korobar, give contemporary solutions in conditions of excessive and chaotic urbanization of Skopje.
At the same time, a group photo exhibition titled “The Soul of the City” will be opened.
The exhibition is part of workshop “The Soul of the City”, organized in collaboration with the Skopje Museum, and supported by the Swiss Program for Culture in Macedonia.
The exhibition, organized by the Macedonian Center for Photography, will display 50 photographs by 22 participants.
Moreover, photograph display titled “Skopje in Four Seasons” by Darko Bazerko will be opened in the Graphic Studio.
The evening dedicated to the anniversary from the 1963 Skopje earthquake will resume with a chamber concert of Goran Muratovski on violin and Natasa Stojanovska on piano at 21,00h.
