| International Theatre Institute – International Day of Dance, 29th April
(www.culture.in.mk, 29.04.2008) – The Macedonian Centre of the International Theatre Institute ITI UNESCO has circulated the International Message on the Day of Dance written by Gladys Faith Agulhas, a dancer, choreographer and ballet pedagogue from the South African Republic. The International Day of Dance marks the day of birth of the founder of modern ballet, Jean-Georges Noverre (1727-1810) that has been celebrated since 1982. In organization of ITI UNESCO the Day is celebrated with solemn performances, dance events in order to mark and glorify the universality of this art and overcome all the political and cultural and ethnic barriers with the joint language of dance. |
