Choir “St. Zlata Meglenska” at “Ohrid Summer”

(Vest, 04.08.2008) - In the framework of “Ohrid Summer” festival, women’s chamber choir “St. Zlata Meglenska” will hold a concert in church “St. Sofia” on Monday evening at 21,00h.
Under the baton of Letka Dimovska-Polizova, the choir will perform compositions by Avramovski, Bortinyanski, Ivanov, Stojkov, Hristov, Skalovski, Vedelj, Suplevski and Zaprov.
“St. Zlata Meglenska” was established within the Macedonian Orthodox Church in 1996. It is comprised of 22 singers, current and graduated students of Skopje-based Faculty of Music Arts. The choir has performed throughout Macedonia, but also abroad, winning numerous awards.
Conductor Dimovska-Polizova, who is the choir founder, has also led other domestic choirs, winning a number of national and international awards. |
