Dance Theatre from Albania, Concerts at “Ohrid Summer” Weekend
(Vest, 15.08.2008) - In the framework of “Ohrid Summer” festival this weekend, Albania Dance and Theatre Company from Tirana will perform in center of culture “Grigor Prlicev” on Friday evening at 21,00h.
Renowned Gjergj Prevazi is the choreographer and director of the performance, which is divided in two parts. The first is created upon short story “The Covered Human Being” by Anton Pavlovich Chekhov, and the second upon hit-novel “Perfume” by Suskind. The cast includes Aledia Konday, Sueda Hoxha, Filomena Gargano, Milena Nurka, Elton Cefa.
Saturday’s program includes concert of Bohemian Symphony Orchestra from Prague, Czech Republic. Young Chil Lee from Korea is the conductor, whereas his compatriot Young-Chang Cho will perform as soloist on cello. The program is comprised of pieces by Dvorak.
An interesting concert of two piano duets is on the program in church “St. Sofia” on Sunday evening at 21,00h.
The first duet is comprised of Ema Jedlicka-Gogova from Macedonia and Inna Aslamas from the Czech Republic, and the second of young pianists Anton Aslamas and Martin Pokorni, both from the Czech Republic. They will perform pieces by Scriabin, Rachmaninoff, Balakirev, Lejsek, Lutoslawski, Aslamas, Smetana, Liadov, Prokofiev, Stravinsky, Dvorak. |
