First Place for the Macedonian Cyrillic in FESTO International Communication Festival in Croatia


(MIA, 26.05.2009) – The Macedonian campaign, “I Keep What Is Mine. As Long I Write in Cyrillic I Exist,” has won the first award in the category International PR Campaigns of the prestigious FESTO Communication Festival in Opatija, Croatia.
The prestigious award, which came on the very day of the Pan-Slav educators, Cyril and Methodius Brothers, was awarded in competition of profit and non-profit PR campaigns in the region and elsewhere. According to the jury of the 17-year old festival, the campaign for modernization and promotion of the Macedonian Cyrillic is the best conceived campaign in the methodological terms through which the use of corresponding communication channels and tools is in line with the set communication goals has contributed to elevating the awareness of the importance of preservation of the Cyrillic and its culturological and historical values.
