|Contemporary Macedonian Fine Art in Sofia|
(Vest, 31.03.2010) - Exhibition “Contemporary Macedonian Fine Art” from the fund of the Strumica Art Colony will open in the gallery of the National Palace of Culture on Wednesday evening at 18,00h.
A total of 48 paintings, 10 drawings and graphics, as well as 7 sculptures by 60 contemporary artists will be presented, including Nikola Martinoski, Dimitar Pandilov, Dimitar Kondovski, Dimce Koco, Dimo Todorovski, Ilija Adzievski, Petar Mazev, Gligor Cemerski, Petar Hadzi-Boskov, Boro Mitrikeski, Vangel Naumovski, Ilija Penusliski etc.
“The displayed artworks are inspired by tradition, but also communicate with the modern and abstract in global fine art, thus taking part in the building of our contemporary cultural identity and affirmation of Macedonian art at the world stage”, says the Sofia-based Macedonian Culture and Information Center, which organizes the exhibition alongside center of culture “Anton Panov”.
The display is part of the Culture Ministry’s international cooperation.
