| In edition of "Matica Makedonska"- Monograph "Goce Delcev" promoted
(MIA, 06.05.2003) - In the framework of the republic manifestation "100 Years Macedonian State (1903-2003)", book-publishing house "Matica Makedonska" and the Skopje Faculty of Philosophy promoted monograph "Goce Delcev" by Dimitar Dimeski on Monday. Referring to the work dedicated to an eminent person from the Macedonian history at the end of the 19th and beginning of the 20th century, promoter Vlado Popovski stated that each Macedonian felt the life and work of Delcev.
"His life and work are part of our collective memory and the collective feeling of the long standing path for national freedom and creation of a Macedonian state", Popovski underlined.
According to him, the work is a significant contribution in the Macedonian scientific publishing, as well as a useful source for historians. It provides additional information to the multi-volume work on the life and work of Goce Delcev by Hristo Andonov Poljanski in 1972. Furthermore, he presented Delcev's principles, among which more rights for the poor, creation of a progressive-cultural state, as well as his recognizable cosmopolitan maxim of understanding the world as a field for cultural competition among peoples.
The second promoter Vance Stojcev spoke about the data in the book that refers to the revolutionary activity of Delcev, his role in the establishment of the armed forces, as well as his inclusion in the Organization. Comparing him with Alexander the Great, Stojcev stressed his leadership, political and organizational capabilities.
At the promotion, the monograph author Dimeski said that the merits of Goce Delcev should be emphasized due to their unusual ethics and education values.
Dimeski, who is a professor at the Faculty of philosophy, has been studying the life and work of Goce Delcev for years. This is his 6th edition dedicated to Delcev's biography, and his 3rd that has a scientific character.
