SWISS IN DRAMA THEATRE, BRASILIANS IN MKC
(Vest, 3.10.2001) - Company DRIFT from Switzerland will perform “Black Rest” at 20,00h in the drama theatre. Beatrice Jacard, Peter Scheling, Massimo Bartinelli and Ivan Wolf are the choreographers.
Company DRIFT is among the best companies on the Swiss dance scene. Their dance varies between violence and tenderness, and through the dance it represents the language of body movement with a perfect preciseness and careful preparation of the chaos and the unpredictable.
Theatre “Amalgama” from Brazil will perform “Desperate Impressions” with the solo performance of Anne Vestfal at 22,00h in MKC. Group “Amalgama” is directing the play, while the computer music is by Joao Mendes.
“The whole performance is musical and because of that we had to experiment with the space and with special lighting. The project is inspired by the poetry of Jim Morrison, leader of the legendary “Doors”. In the search for things inside us, it brings us to a kind of harmony and truth. If the light side of his poetry was the motif for the previous work, here it is the dark side of the human mind, where we can feel something, but not be conscious about it”, Anne Vestfal says.
