| In Honour to the Day of Liberation of Kicevo - House of Art Opened
(Utrinski Vesnik, 12.09.2003) - The House of Art, a building which was the venue of this year’s 10th International Kicevo Art Colony, was opened officially at the village of Knezino near Kicevo, in the place of an old school. Macedonian President Boris Trajkovski, some World War II veterans and a number of representatives of the cultural and social life in Kicevo attended the opening ceremony which also saw an exhibition of works made during the colony. The Quartet of Ilija Nikolovski Luj School centre under the conductorship of Le Fe Fe performed at the event. The opening was in honour of September 11th, the Day of Liberation of Kicevo. The Art House has been established by AD Tajmiste in collaboration with the Culture and Information Centre in Skopje and the Artistic Council of the Kicevo Art Colony. The house is planned to be opened during the whole year and to be an area where artists can hang around, work and exhibit. It should also be used for other cultural events, symposia and seminars.
