| Exhibition on 100th Years of Birth of Nikola Martinoski
(MIA, 20.11.2003) - An exhibition dedicated to Nikola Martinoski’s work, one of the Macedonian and European best 20th century painters, is opening at the Macedonian Academy of Sciences and Arts today.
Martinoski (1903-1973) is the most talented disciples of the Macedonian last fresco painter Imikary Andonov-Papradiski. Later, French school influence was remarkable in his works and it seemed he had finished his fresco painting phase and started a modern painting cycle.
Martinoski was the author of numerous stage designs at Kralj Aleksandar I National Theatre in Skopje, especially in 1939-1940. In collaboration with Tomo Vladimirski and Vasilije Cico Popovic he made a number of stage designs. Academician Cvetan Grozdanov will open the exhibition. |
